
On July 2, 2025, Lincoln County declared a drought emergency because of low streamflows, low precipitation, and poor soil moisture conditions affecting communities, economic sectors, and local ecosystems. The drought conditions are putting stress on our drinking water supplies, as well as the fish and wildlife that depend on water in our streams. Following a request to Governor Tina Kotek, the State of Oregon issued a State of Drought Emergency for Lincoln County on July 10, 2025. This formal drought declaration makes essential tools and resources available to local communities affected by drought conditions.
